December's Holiday Mixer PDF  | Print |  E-mail

The cold weather and the busy holiday season did not keep the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce from hosting its annual Holiday Mixer this year. Nearly fifty people attended the event held at the Courtyard Marriott in Liberty Station on December 13th.

Courtyard’s own Chef Alfonso put together a great spread of paella, clam chowder, and other delicious eats for the mixer attendees. While the only warmth came from the heaters scattered around the plaza, most people were too busy talking amongst one another and listening to the great guest speaking appearance of Randy Ataide, professor and Director of the Fermanian Business Center at Point Loma Nazarene University, to even notice the cold weather.

The Courtyard MarriottThe venue was stunning being held out on the plaza at Courtyard overlooking the downtown skyline and the nearby bay.

“The turnout was better than we expected, and everyone seemed to be completely enjoying themselves,” said Jarod Gorla, Director of Business Development.

The night concluded with a silent auction that helped raise money for the non-profit chamber. All-in-all, this years Holiday Mixer was well planned, well put on, and well received. We look forward to seeing everyone next year!
